Princess has been out of the Big Brother house since Sunday, but Tom had yet to know about it. Rob was chosen to be the one to break it to Tom, having been one of the last people who talked with her. Though Tom was aware of Princess’ reservations, her leaving still came as a shock to him. He did notice that none of her things were in House A, a sign that he perhaps chose to ignore. He did ask to have Princess’ bed, and was later given her facial massager, to remind him of her. Princess’ decision to leave came as a surprise to many, but her very determination gave a certainty that it was indeed the right move. One thing she hoped to do, as did Tom, was to say goodbye.

Tom was called into the confession room to air out his feelings about the revelation. It took him some time to answer, as he was still reeling from the news. From their previous talks, Tom already had a good grasp of Princess’ feelings, and he wished her the best. “Sana ma-solve niya ‘yung personal life niya and sana I can catch up to her one day and take her out for dinner.” When asked what he missed about Princess, he replied, “Just her. I miss being around her. She’s malambing. There’s a spark, some life, kapag nakikita ko siya. It’s something na hindi ko ma-explain. It always makes me smile when I see her. Something about her puts me at ease. It was one of the things that I missed about this house, House A. Kahit nandito ako ngayon, it just doesn’t feel the same. It almost feels empty. I half-expect to see her around the corner. Kaya mas ginugusto ko pang bumalik sa kabilang bahay, kasi at least iba ‘yung mga taong kasama ko. Dito, siya palagi naaalala ko. My mind is just racing. I don’t know what to think.”

Little did Tom know that he would be seeing Princess again, a rare chance given for them to be able to say their goodbye. Upon seeing her face, Tom didn’t know whether to smile or cry. Princess started by asking how he was and went on to her reasons for leaving. “I needed to step back to see what was really happening,” she explained. “Stay strong and sane, Tom. I’ll see you on the Big Night.” Princess took Tom’s book with her, and shared that she was reading it. She also left him a gift, her facial massager that was the point of one of their first conversations. “We have to go out for dinner or something, a date,” Tom told Princess. “I’ve been missing you already.” At the end of their conversation, Tom finally broke down in tears, as did Princess.

Being a housemate, however brief a time, certainly puts a premium on relationships.
