Pinoy Big Brother Double Up housemate Yuri Okawa recently arrived from a vacation in Japan and shared happily that many Filipinos there recognized her from her PBB stint. Nakaka-flatter kahit sa Japan kilala ako,” she shared in an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN.com.
She said that she is planning to stay in the Philippines until the last quarter of the year to pursue a showbiz career. Yuri admitted she felt she was left behind now that many of her fellow ex-housemates are now part of a TV series (Your Song Presents: Isla), but she clarified that she does not feel resentful for not being included in the series.
The Fil-Japanese linguist also said that she does not think that her being the first-ever housemate to have been evicted by the getting most number of text votes from viewers was the reason for her not getting a project. “Nung na-evict ako nagtanong ako sabi ko is there something wrong? Talagang ganun ba ako ka-taklesa? Pero na-realize ko hindi naman. Nagpakatotoo lang talaga ako, eh.” As a matter of fact, the experience made her a better person. “So hindi ako nag-feel bad. Mas lalo pa nga akong nag-mature and mas lalo pa nga naging maganda ‘yung perspective ko in life.”
