With ex-PBB housemates Melai Cantiveros and Jason Francisco’s newfound fame, some people are wondering if their renowned team-up could exceed that of Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson. When asked about this rivalry issue, however, Jason was quick to clarify that he and Melai are certainly no threat to Kim and Gerald whose showbiz career is established way ahead of them. “Bakit naman kakatakutan e pare-parehas kaming nagtatrabaho? Pare-parehas kaming may mga gustong (marating) at may mga fans. At saka napakalayo pa namin para sa kanila. Kumbaga marami pa kaming kakaining bigas (bago mangyari yun),” he humbly told ABS-CBN.com

Jason may be a newbie but he understands a bit about the way entertainments news can be sensationalized especially now that all eyes are on him and Melai.

The first time Jason had a live interview in The Buzz, he claimed that only Melai has plans to pursue acting as a career. But as you can see, both of them are already busy preparing for their two soaps—Kokey at Ako and Impostor. What happened then with his resolve to stay out of show business?

But according to Melai, she believed that Jason has the potential to become an action star based on the scenes that they have shot for Impostor. When we told him about what his girlfriend proudly said about him, the so-called “Boy Astig ng Mindoro” was quick to refute such praises from Melai. Kaya yun,” he related.

As to their love life, Jason admitted that he really wanted to go swimming with Melai in a private resort for a change. So yun. But once they’re given several days off work, Jason insisted that he really intends to bring Melai to his hometown in Mindoro.
