Pinoy Big Brother Double Up Big Winner Melai Cantiveros is beginning to see the real side of being a celebrity. Whenever seen in public, the education student from General Santos City would be flocked by several fans asking for her picture and autograph. Melai told ABS-CBN.com in an interview that in many occasions she would feel bad when she could not attend to most of her fans.
Right after the PBB finale, Melai and the other Big Five would do TV and radio interviews, program guest appearances, press conference, and other engagements. The Big Winner confessed her regret that because of the busy schedule, she haven’t had the time to go out on a date with Jason Francisco, her new boyfriend who she met as a housemate in PBB. Lagi kaming sinasabihan, last minute na may pupuntahan pala o kuwan. Hindi na kami makapag-relax.”
Nevertheless, the 23-year-old lass said she enjoys her life as a new celebrity. She explained that she is just taking advantage of the opportunity which she knows might not last that long. Grab namin over ang opportunity.
She and the other PBB ex-housemates have recently been assigned under the care of ABS-CBN’s talent management arm Star Magic. As they gear up for whatever projects that may come, like acting in a movie or teleserye, they are taking up workshops to equip them with skills necessary in showbiz.
There are plans of including Melai and some of the other ex-housemates in the cast of Precious Hearts Romances presents Impostor top-billed by Sam Milby and Maja Salvador and in Kokey @ Ako starring Angel Locsin and Vhong Navarro.
